"Build a Better World" 2017 Summer Reading Program


SloganReaders of all ages are invited to “Build a Better World”at this year’s summer reading program at the Monticello-Union Township Public Library. Summer reading program runs from June 5 – July 28. Registration begins on Tuesday, May 30th. Kickoff for summer reading will begin on June 5 at the Monticello City Park. Join us for face painting, games, snacks and registering!

Patrons are invited to try something new this summer: at home, in the community, throughout the country, and around the globe. Read a new book, try a new craft, meet new people, and learn about new places.

Babies, toddlers, and children will need to read 6 books or 600 pages to receive a prize and get a ticket for the grand prize. For a chance at additional prizes, children can read more or attend programs. Adults must read 6 books or 600 pages to complete the program. Get a prize for completing the summer reading program and enter for a surprise drawing. Teens will use the bingo sheet to mark each activity you complete. Complete a row of five spaces, in any direction, you can claim your prize and enter to win one of our final prize drawings. Repeat this process to be eligible for additional entries into the final prize drawings.
