 n of Nome\, Alaska? Want to learn more?\n\nMusher Karen Land will cover th
 ese subjects and more when she and Sophia\, the\nAlaskan husky\, visit the
  Monticello-Union Township Public Library on June 18th at 6:00pm!\n\nLand 
 is a writer\, public speaker\, and three-time participant in the 1000-mile
  Iditarod\nTrail Sled Dog Race as well as many other sprint and endurance 
 races in Alaska\, Canada\,\nMontana\, Idaho\, Wyoming\, and Maine. Since 2
 000\, Land has traveled to nearly every state with\nher dog sled\, mushing
  gear\, Arctic clothing\, and beloved dogs\, giving over a thousand school
 \nand public library presentations.
