    The Library's hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9 am - 8 pm and Friday and Saturday 9 am - 5 pm. We are closed on Sundays.

  • Green, Red and DEAD for Christmas: A Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Library!

    Join us for an evening of mystery, mayhem, and.....murder! The Monticello-Union Township Public Library presents: “Green, Red and DEAD for Christmas,” an evening of intrigue and murder on Friday, December 10th at 6 pm The event will be held at the North Window in the library. Prizes will be awarded to the team(s) who solve the murder! Come enjoy an evening of fun entertainment. See if your team can gather the clues and solve the mystery! Tickets can be purchased at the circulation desk at the library for $30 starting 11/8. Teams are limited to 5 people. Space is limited!

    If you would like to attend please visit the library and purchase ticket(s) at the front desk. please be aware this program is 21+ and ID may be needed to be presented.

    Since our county has remained in the orange advisory status, we ask for all patrons to wear a mask while visiting the library.

    The Library is now hiring! We are looking for a part-time daytime Library Clerk and a full-time Adult Services Manager. There are educational and experience requirements for each position, which you can view on the Employment page.

    Would you like to pick up materials without coming in the library? Use our Curbside Service to request up to 10 items for curbside pick up.

    You can browse our online catalog and see what materials we have available to borrow. Contact the library to reserve your items and receive a pick up time at 574-583-2665 and 574-583-2665 ext 3312.

    Who is eligible and where can I receive the vaccine? The COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Indiana. Any Hoosier age 12 and older is now eligible to schedule a vaccination appointment. If you are a first responder or work/volunteer in a healthcare facility you can receive the vaccine.

    You can visit the Indiana State website to read the eligibility requirements, information on the COVID-19 vaccine, and find a location to receive the vaccine.

    The complaint or grievance will be investigated by the Monticello-Union Township Public Library, and/or another party designated by the school district. The procedures to be followed are:
    • An investigation of the complaint shall be completed in a timely manner.
    • The investigator shall prepare a written report of the findings and conclusions.
    • The investigator shall contact the Complainant upon conclusion of the investigation to discuss the findings and conclusions and actions to be taken as a result of the investigation.
