Teen Summer Reading Program "A Universe of Stories"

Use game board to mark each activity you complete. Complete and entire row and fill out a raffle ticket to win gift cards. Finish all 5 rows on the board and fill out 5 raffle tickets! There is also a completion prize for finishing the entire game board.  Slogan 2

May 23 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Library Concert Series: Featuring the Time Travelers
June 11 @ 5:30 p.m.
Join us downtown in Monticello at the Courthouse during PopClub for a good time! The Time Travelers play classic rock from the 60's through today. Great musicianship and great songs keep it danceable and family friendly.

Space Out with Movies
June 13 @ 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Join us all day to relax with space theme movies and snacks!

Star Lab Inflatable Dome
June 14 at 9:30 a.m.
The library, in partnership with the parks department, will offer Star Lab Inflatable Dome sessions all day in the program room! Enter the dome and learn about the constellations in a 45-minute program. Registration is required, as only 20-25 people can fit at a time. Session times are 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, and 2:30.

Skateboard Competition @ Skate Park
Saturday, June 15 @ 12:00 p.m.
Jordan Skate Park
This annual skateboarding competition is run in conjunction with the Monticello Parks Department. There are three divisions: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Prizes will be awarded in each division. Register at Jordan Park between 12:00 and 1:00 on the day of the event. No entry fee. Signed waivers required.

Roz Puppet Show
June 20 at 11 a.m.
"The Boy Who Saw Martians;" a retelling of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Tickets must be reserved and picked up at the library in advance.

Wabash Valley Astronomical Society Space Talk
June 25 at 2 p.m.
The Wabash Valley Astronomical Society from Lafayette will be giving an all ages, family-friendly presentation on the mysteries of the universe.

Voigt Park Stargazing
July 9 at 10 p.m.
The children's department is joining the parks department for stargazing fun! We'll have telescopes and star maps for you as we observe the night sky. Come hear a star talk from a Twin Lakes science teacher!

Galaxy Painting for Teens
July 11 at 2 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate Stranger Things!

Library Concert at Altherr Park
June 11 @ 6 p.m.
Join us for a concert in the park! Enjoy s'mores around a campfire while listening to the music of local firefighter Nick Green.


Stranger Things Party
July 17 at 4 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate Stranger Things!

Space Fandom Day
July 19 all day
Nerd out with your favorite space TV shows and movies! Throughout the library there will be passive diy activites!
