The Monticello-Union Township Public Library is pleased to recognize March as Women’s History Month by having a Women’s Expo on Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m.—3 p.m. Women’s History Month is a time to reflect back and honor the many achievements of women throughout history and the vast strides made by women today. The Women’s Expo will highlight the women in our community in leadership roles, provide health screenings and education, and beauty tips.

The Library will have guest speakers Peggy King Anderson and re-enactor Leslie Goddard. Author Peggy King Anderson will discuss the women of the Potawatomi tribe and their journey on the Trail of Death. Leslie Goddard portrays memorable women from the past and tells historical stories. She will portray the first female aviator Amelia Earhart.
