Giving to Your Library The holidays mark a time to reflect and be thankful for the bounties in our lives. The library is grateful for the continued support of our patrons, donors and volunteers. Thanks to your support, we were open 3,000 hours and served over 100,000 patrons. Volunteers and donors were vital in helping us bring you programs such as the Broadway Art Show and the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Donations also helped us offer additional programming throughout the year.
In 2014, we received a memorial donation in honor of Mr. Tom Spackman which went into our Building & Grounds Endowment Fund. We also added a new mural by professional artist Zach Medler and four Twin Lakes High School students. The mural was funded by a grant through the Indiana Arts Commission.
Some of you will be considering donating to your favorite charitable organizations during this holiday season. Please consider donating locally. Your best community investment can be done via your public library. If you or your organization are interested in making a named donation, please contact Monica Casanova at the library for a list of items needed. While large donations are greatly appreciated, much of what we do is made possible through a number of small donations that add up to big results! We appreciate the great support we receive from the Monticello community and look forward to serving you in the many years to come.
From our staff and board of trustees we want to wish you Happy Holidays.
